People often find themselves stuck by existing conditions and give up on the possibility of a “Quick Fix Lighting Makeover”.

Well LBL lighting has offered up its solutions to a few common problems, like those ugly 6.5″ recessed lights that date back to the 80’s when recessed lights were The New Greatest Thing; or rooms with hipped ceilings going in every direction. This year’s new collection offers a retrofit canopy to work in those “old-school” recessed light openings. Presto change-o: now a sleek pendant or track head can hang in its place.

Also launched this year is a swag hook, used to change a mini pendant’s point of suspension to any point on the ceiling, thereby opening up the options to fixtures that use electrical wire.

Suffice it to say lighting manufacturers are making it harder and harder for us not to take a look at the way we light our lives and make it better.
